How a crown is finished by hand

A crown begins as a flat brass blank, cut to the Deco fan profile and hand-formed around a wooden block. Each arm is polished, plated and set with glass crystals before the band is velvet-lined and fitted with an adjustable comb. Personalised bands are engraved last, only once you have confirmed the exact spelling — which is why an engraved crown adds two working days to the five-to-seven day production window.
